Mr. K Suryanarayana - Rest In Peace

I read today about the gruesome killing of the Indian engineer Mr. K. Suryanarayana in Afghanistan by the Taliban. It is a gross act against the basic tenets of humanity to kill a defenceless human being thus, and being helpless to do anything in this matter, I pray that the people who did this shall suffer at the hands of GOD. May Mr. Suryanarayana's soul Rest In Peace.

As an Indian citizen, I wish to ask the Government if it is possible to airlift our forces and go all out against the Taliban or to have a secret operation like the one Mossad did against the terrorists who killed the Israeli athletes at Munich in 1972, by hunting them down to the last man.

As my sister said today morning, it just changes the course of the lives of the people in his family. What plans they would have had for their lives and what alterations they would need to make now would be mind boggling. It just ripped apart a family completely. It's unthinkable.

The thoughts of an entire nation are with them, but nothing more. I hope that the compensation announced by the Government and the Company that Mr. Suryanarayana worked for, reaches his family as promised.

A few days back, a senior manager in my aunt's office was asked to quit his post. He suffered a severe heart attack and passed away a few days later. He was 45. I am told that under him, the profits were always coming in, the division he controlled always came first and that he was an invaluable asset to the company in terms of work, thought a very, very difficult man to work with (which is why he was asked to leave, they say.)

This man had 3 kids between the ages of 5 and 11 and a wife who is a housewife without much knowledge of the outside world.

I believe in GOD (atleast a higher power i call GOD), but I fail to understand his workings a lot of times. Im told, people pay for their past sins. Why? We cannot change our past and cannot work with our future. We only have the present. So why must GOD make people suffer for their past? Irrespective of anything the man did, how can GOD be so cruel? I mean the man had 3 young kids. Mr. Suryanarayana had 3 young kids. How can even GOD have the authority to play around with the lives of kids? They are innocent and have done nothing wrong. Why should the kids be deprived all their lives now of a parent's hand? Their future lives are completely altered now. It is a void that will remain with them all their lives.

I cannot understand,GOD... I cannot understand... I won't listen to you... You can't justify to me what you have done... I won't listen to you...

I also hope that the compensation reaches his family as promised.

One man dies... We grieve... We offer help... We criticize others... n eventually we FORGET...

What stays back is the Pain that his family goes through... Their life changes forever at the blink of an eye...

Apparently, his wife attempted to commit suicide and she's still critical. I cannot imagine what his kids must be going through!
I feel bad for this but there are some things that are easier to say but harder to do. There is a lot of diplomacy involved in these situations but unfortunately, the world is not a democracy!

It will take time for these things to change but that time will come, slowly but surely. Being a God Fearing Person, I dont think that just because you say namaz 'n' times a day condones you to decide the fate of other people's lives.

yes., at times liek this, God does seem cruel. but lack of faith in him leads toa further sense of rootlessness at least as far as i am concerned. highly debatable here of course( and with reason to). i heard on the news that the engineer's daughter was crying and askign y the police didn't do anything. if only the little girl knew the extenet and the mechanism of terrorism. but she will learn in time..in her own hard way just like so many in the world. at this point, all i can pray for is strength for the family, for the children....

For this reason, I choose to believe, that everything is a sort of devine balance that settles upon.,. itself, rather than a higher power entity making it all available.

But on the second thought, there should be something that scares people, and makes them choose the right path and not via a bullet to some1s head. God I believe is a concept created, that preaches the art of living in harmony with the rest. Which leads me to the paradox that one should believe in GOD...lol
